Performed to aid with specific areas of soft tissue dysfunction and realignment, this style of bodywork is physically deep as the name implies. It is known to disperse scar tissue and adhesions (knots) in muscle fascia, relieve and lengthen tight or shorten muscles and tendons due to athletic strain or exercise, and assist with physical recovery. Often, Deep Tissue is combined with Swedish Massage to integrate a more relaxing experience.
