An Oakland native who was raised amongst strong, independent, nurturing women of faith, Tamika was encouraged and inspired to create change. Her mother always said, “don’t sweat the small stuff in life because it’s all small.” With that in mind, Tamika decided to embark on a grand journey.

As a client in the nail care industry, Tamika realized there were details being missed, questionable techniques practiced, and sanitation standards that were below expectations. This became the inspiration for change.

Tamika studied nail care and received her license in 1998 and first gained experience through working at the Claremont Resort and Spa. Quickly gaining popularity with clients who expected detailed work and amazing customer service associated with a high end salon, Tamika soon became the nail care provider of choice for all high profile and VIP clients. In addition, Tamika’s expertise was so well respected and often sought after for consultation on hiring, training associates, and product knowledge.

The culmination of the desire for change, experience, and vision is Tamika’s foundation for Cuticles Nail Spa.

An active healer and body-worker with an emphasis on eastern modalities, Felix’s studies and practices have taken him through a journey of conscious health & wellness of mind, body, and spirit. Along with his natural intuitive abilities, his sessions are a seamless blend of technical modalities ranging from Shiatsu, Swedish, Craniosacral, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Thai Yoga Massage, and Pranayama (yoga centered breathing exercises or breath awareness). A true balance between artistry and science.

Felix has been an advocate of holistic health practices and is currently a massage and bodywork instructor at The Mckinnon Body Therapy Center. He continues to volunteer his massage & bodywork awareness to various health and wellness organizations throughout the bay area and offers his time and experience in other passions to the service of community based non-profits.
